You have 30 FULL Days left in September

You have 30 FULL Days left in September

August is over and done with. It’s a new month. How did you do last month? Did you balance your budget, did you meet your goal weight, or set a personal record? Well, I got some terrible (or fantastic!) news for you. August 2017 is Dead. To quote Monty Python “This parrot is no more. It has ceased to be!” It’s time to set some new goals for this month. Maybe you need to re-use your goal from last month, and that’s OK. But don’t focus on the past. There is nothing that can be done about that. Learn from it, make it part of you and grow from it.

Don’t beat yourself up if you didn’t get to your goal. That doesn’t matter. You have 30 FULL Days left in September. Make the most of them. Past is past and we cannot take it back. I want you to give some serious thoughts about what your goals are for this month. It’s super early, and you have plenty of time. But you won’t make your FUTURE better by focusing only on your PAST. Make this month a great month.

So get up, write the bones of your budget, read a chapter of a book, go for a jog around the block, or start learning a new skill. It’s the beginning of the month, folks. Make this month one to be proud of. Get out there and level up!

Today I wanted to take a moment to honour the beautiful life of Louise Hay who left us recently at the age of 90. What an inspiring woman. Do yourself a favour and read her story and bio. Coming from an abusive childhood, broken relationships and incurable cancer diagnosis she turned her life around and created unbelievable positive change and success for herself and so many others. I also wanted to share 10 Life Lessons from Louise Hay that may inspire and help you on your journey ahead, they certainly did for me.

10 LIFE LESSONS FROM LOUISE HAY

1. Love yourself

Loving yourself is the most powerful thing you can do. It’s a must to love yourself before you can love others.

2. Be mindful of your words

The universe is listening to everything you say and think and for many of us, most of the time this is negative. Your thoughts create your life, so what are you thinking?

3. Don’t be resentful

When you are resentful and hold onto anger and resentment all that it is doing is hurting you. Let go and you will heal.

4. Learn how to think successfully

When you learn how to use your mind in a positive way, miracles happen. What you think and believe is what will come true for you. The biggest problem I see with the clients that come to see me is they have negative thinking and are not programming their mind in positive ways. Ask yourself, how can I positively programme my mind today?

5. Help others

We all have the ability to help others improve the quality of their lives, how are you helping? Recently, I have signed up to mentor secondary school students and it’s a chnace for me to share my knowledge and give something back. It can be the smallest things. Don’t underestimate the powerful difference you can make. What 1 thing will you do today to help someone?

6. Be calm

When clients come to me with problems, they are panicking and stuck in the problem which just creates more of it. Acknowledge the problem, feel it and then come back to the present. Here is one of Louise’s most beautiful and powerful affirmations:

”All is well and everything is working out for my highest good and out of this experience only good will come and I am safe.”

7. Do affirmations

Everyday make positive statements about your life. Do them deliberately, make it a habit and watch things change. Write them down and say them out loud. Choose which ones you need for that period of your life.

8. Keep working on yourself

When things aren’t working out, work on yourself, when things are going well, work on yourself. You have the power to change your life. There are so many tools available to you. Your mind is a muscle and it will grow and work for you when you work on it.

9. Be thankful

Everyday, as many times of the day as you can be thankful for what you have, for where you are, for the opportunities around you. There is always something to be thankful and grateful for.

10. Believe that good lies ahead

Louise says ”Only good lies before me.” I love this. It means, no matter what happens to you, you will learn and grow, and good will come out of it. What a beautiful way to live life.

I hope these 10 Life Lessons inspired you as they did me.
